A seasonal, local and reasoned cuisine

The menu changes with the seasons and the products available in a close radius around the restaurant. Marianne and Julien care about the origins of the meats, visit the local producers …. they are convinced that the change must happen quickly and do what is necessary for that.
Many actions are already in place and they will not stop there!

Owners of the restaurant l'Auberge du Moulin in St Sorlin-en-Valloire. They knew how to make the restaurant evolve in a family, ethical, responsible and ecological spirit.

Here, we don’t just have ideas…. we realize them and implement them with the whole brigade. Marianne and Julien ensure the implementation and see to the smooth running of the restaurant. They enforce their principles and their commitments: working with local producers, banning plastic packaging, straws, recycling and sorting waste…. offer a 100% plant-based menu a la carte every day.

We are proud to work with our local producers, so we promote short circuits, which allows us to cook extra fresh products with a low carbon footprint, and at the same time, to highlight the work of producers and farmers in our region!

The whole team is committed to respecting the environment, animal welfare and the health of its customers.
Marianne and Julien are therefore committed to various structures and/or labels and charters to validate their actions and put them forward.
* They signed the Responsible Tourism Charter of the tourist office in 2021 and 2022 (they obtained the 4 leaves in 2022) along with other local actors.
* They are LPO refuge: welcomes for insects and birds are installed in the green space of the restaurant courtyard, no total mowing of green spaces …
* They are referenced since 2020 on the Vegoresto website thanks to their vegetarian menu, which is suitable for Vegans, vegetarians, lactose allergic people or simply for those who feel like it!

 

I reserve a table

The restaurant is open all year round. In summer, theme evenings are organized with seasonal menus. The beautiful outdoor terrace, shaded and quiet, will allow you to spend a pleasant moment.
Little secret: ask Julien to taste a last glass in his cellar fitted out in the basement!
