a nice reward
at the finish line
After this beautiful hike (5/6 km) where you can admire splendid landscapes on the Rhone, it is time to discover another pleasure: the tasting!
Sandrine DEFOUR, tour guide, will walk you through the terraced vineyards, typical of Saint Joseph. This vineyard, essentially installed on narrow terraces mainly granite on steep slopes, exposed south / south east, is planted on the eastern edge of the Massif Central.
The saint-joseph, a very strong and rich local history to discover absolutely: a must of Porte de DrômArdèche.
Sandrine takes you on steep (hillside) and south-facing paths: remember to take good shoes for walking, a stick, a water bottle, a hat and sun cream. All routes are different depending on the starting point chosen.
You need to be in good physical shape but the activity is accessible from 8/10 years old. And what a reward at the arrival! goat cheese, honey, jams, fruit juices… and the saint-joseph of a local winemaker. The tasting at the arrival can be done either in the vineyards or at the winegrower’s.
